to recognize scouts for their rank & merit badge achievements. Please plan to attend.

 Tents for Haiti - Important News UPDATE!

We learned late yesterday that the French and French/Canadian governments have provided over 250,000 military grade tents to Haiti to meet the needs of the earthquake victims.  These heavy canvas tents are on a boat just off the coast of Haiti waiting to be unloaded. In addition, there are more tents on the way from other sources.
 
So the project was completed before it began, and the goal was realized: the people of Haiti will have shelter from the rains.
  
We truly appreciate the willingness of so many people to join in the efforts to collect tents.   The response was amazing.
 
A special thank you to Mathew 25 Ministries for offering to ship the tents as part of their ongoing efforts to provide relief around the world.
 
If anyone has collected tents at this point please consider donating them to the local Dan Beard Council where they will be distributed to units that stuggle financially and cannot otherwise provide tents for their members.
